(aka Leash Lungers Anonymous)
A small specialty class designed for dogs that go berserk when they see other dogs (on leash and/or off leash) and who would not do well in our Basic Manners/Obedience classes. This class will help both owners and their dogs feel at peace while in the presence of other dogs in a small, semi-private setting. This class will give owners confidence in their handling skills, and teach effective management/training protocols.
Please note that currently, this class is by invitation only. Due to the very high demand and complicated nature of this sort of behavior modification, Reactive Rover is only being offered to clients that have previously worked on their dog’s reactivity through private training with Stephanie or Hayley.
Our goal is to offer this class to everyone, within the next year. For more information, or if you would like to be added to the wait list, please contact us. We are here to help!
Canine Good Citizen
The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program was started in 1989 and it is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. This class is a pre-requisite for people and dogs interested in our Therapy Dog Group.
Our Adventure classes are designed to practice our skills out on the road! We visit different a different locations and practice real life training with giant distractions. These classes are offered exclusively to our more advanced students as a way to help them take their dog’s obedience and manners to the next level and exhibit responsible dog ownership in the community. These classes provide real world training and playtime all in one! Some of our favorite locations for Adventure Classes are the beach, 'Pup Crawls' in the city, the lake, and hiking in the National Forest!
Please stay tuned for more classes after the summer heat.
