Puppy Class Part One

As Houston’s Original Puppy Experts, we offer a truly unique puppy group class that you won’t find anywhere else. For pups from 8-20 weeks, this very popular class is taught utilizing multiple off-leash training & socialization sessions, resulting in practical, real-life training. Puppy Class Part One will undoubtedly be one of the most useful and fun dog training classes you will ever take!

Puppy Class Part Two

Early puppy training is as easy as it is enjoyable. Much more challenging though, is to ensure that your puppy maintains bite inhibition, remains socialized and friendly to other dogs and people, and continues to pay heed to you instructions while working through adolescence. Puppy Class Part Two re-introduces everything you learned in Puppy Class Part One and takes it all to the next level.

Puppy-Adolescent Agility

Take advantage of your puppy's natural curiosity and abundant energy by introducing them to the fun sport of agility! For puppies up to a year old, this specialty class will focus on basic fundamentals of agility using techniques designed to improve your puppy's limb awareness, balance, and motivation.

Adolescent-Adult Basic Manners

Our Basic Manners Class is designed for dogs that have never taken a class before or for dogs needing to brush up on rusty obedience skills. Owners will learn to effectively communicate with their dogs while teaching them the ever-important basics commands.

Intermediate Obedience

Intermediate Obedience re-introduces the behaviors you learned in the Adolescent-Adult Basic Manners Class and takes them all to the next level! This class will expand on your dog's existing foundation skills and proof them by adding more of the all-important three D’s: duration, distractions, and distance.

Beginner Agility

Beginner Agility is a fun class that will have your dog jumping, tunneling, weaving and more, all while teaching you and your dog to work together! This class will introduce agility equipment and handling cues, as well as develop teamwork and drive.

Intermediate Agility

Our Intermediate Agility class is a 6 week course that will expand on learned handling skills, body awareness, and jump work. Teams will perfect their skills on agility obstacles such as the teeter, dog walk and A-frame, and will begin sequencing with several obstacles at a time. Upon completion of this class, teams will have gained skills crucial to agility training and competition.

Fit Paws

Canine Fit Paws is a 6 week class dedicated to increase your dog’s confidence while challenging them mentally and physically through fitness exercises. Throughout this class, we will work with you and your dog on overall conditioning, improved body awareness, core strength, aerobic exercise, balance, and strength. This class will teach your dog new tricks and incorporate fun new equipment to expand your dog’s world.

Intro to NoseWork

Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire to hunt. This class focuses on teaching you how to encourage and develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It’s a great class for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy and to find out just how good is your dog’s nose.

Reactive Rover Part One

A small specialty class designed for dogs that go berserk when they see other dogs while on leash, and who would not do well in our Basic Manners class. Our Reactive Rover class takes place in a controlled setting and will help owners and dogs feel at peace while in the presence of other dogs, give owners confidence in their handling skills, and teach effective management/training protocols.

Please note that due to the complicated nature of leash reactivity, in order to be eligible for this class, clients must complete at least one private training session with Stephanie or Hayley.

Canine Good Citizen

The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program was started in 1989 and it is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Adventure Classes

Our Adventure classes are designed to practice our skills out on the road! We visit different a different locations and practice real life training with giant distractions. These classes are offered exclusively to our more advanced students as a way to help them take their dog’s obedience and manners to the next level and exhibit responsible dog ownership in the community. These classes provide real world training and playtime all in one! Some of our favorite locations for Adventure Classes are the beach, 'Pup Crawls' in the city, the lake, and hiking in the National Forest!
